Bring on Christmas!

Last day of work (not that I'm really working) today! Can't wait for what this weekend has in store for us:
1st- Randi's Christmas dance recital (I cry everytime). Love seeing her on stage!
Last year, what cute elves!

2nd-Making homemade ornaments with my super fun and equally awesome buddy Dani!
3rd-CALLAWAY GARDENS!! Started going every year when Randi was a baby, missed it last year for Lacey's wedding. Love, Love, Love this annual trip! By the way, did you know it is one of the top 10 places in the world to see holiday lights!?!? There's nothing like seeing my babies eyes light up. The safari park is awesome too (yes I said awesome again on the same post).

Elf on the Shelf

Elf on the Shelf
So we have a Christmas visitor, our Elf on the Shelf, "Hermie." This is a really fun tradition we started this year. You can find out more about it here. If you have small children or teach them, you will love it! I swear I have brand new children since Hermie arrived. So polite to each other and willing to go the extra mile to impress their elf! Ryan and I have had a lot of fun hiding him each night too. Below are some photos of our first few nights with Hermie. More photos to come as we get closer to Christmas.

He's here!

My man!!

I am SOOOOO PROUD of my husband, Ryan Boyd!! Check out the front page of Panama City's News Herald's sport section!!!
You won't meet anyone who works as hard as my husband. He is also a wonderful husband and father who after working all day and into the night, will not even eat until he's played with his kids a few hours. Someone told me today about the article and I had to read it right away. As I read it I couldn't help but think of all of the blood, sweat, and tears he has put in to get to where he has gotten. Maybe it's the hormones, maybe watching him work so hard for so long, but I had to sit there and just cry. Then I gave him a call (which I sobbed through). Needless to say he was confused by the emotional phone call! Anyway thanks for humoring me as I brag on my incredible husband ;)

Family Vacay!

So for the Fourth we traveled to my in-law's in Boca. Made an overnight stop at TREX at Downtown Disney for my two little dino freaks.

Ryan's parents were so excited to have us there. They went to so much trouble to make us feel at home and have a great time. The week was packed with loads of fun stuff they planned for us. Some of our favorites: Lion Country Safari, watching the fireworks at Delray Beach, and Bubba Gump Shrimp in Ft. Lauderdale.

The cousins
I love this one of Grammy and Colby and Ava. Isn't the Atlantic so pretty?!
The crew at Bubba Gump's (minus Grandaddy who's taking the pic).
Do you recognize the RUN-ning shoes, feather, and box of CHOC-olates? (Trying to sound like Forrest, lame I know.)

Isn't this crazy? A real Lamborgini parked at one their neighbor's houses!

Redneck Sprinklers

This is the view from my backyard in the summer. Isn't it gorgeous? I just love living where I grew up. The irrigation system or "pivot" as my dad refers to it, was running last week. It brought back a fond memory of my sister Mitzi and I riding bikes in our swimsuits under it. (Tears! Mitzi, we had a great time didn't we?)So what did the sappy girl do? Suited up the kids and myself and ran around under the pivot!! Had a blast!
Randi was the only one who cooperated with the camera. Gotta love that girl!
Can you see the water coming down through the live oak branches? Under the tree it was like a fine mist. Perfect for the scorcher-of-a-day we were having.
I love this one of my girl. Always trying to catch rain on her tongue. So glad I got to bring this great memory to life for my kids. :)

Movie Night Anyone?

Two movies for $9!! My sister shared this with me yesterday courtesy Living Social. (You should really sign up for this too. Great deals!) Thanks Mitzi! I'm already planning a date night/girl's night/Harry Potter dork night. Hmmm may need to grab a few more :) Hurry this promotion has a limited number available.

Still recuperating from last night's project graduation: blow-up slides (had way too much fun on these), lots of food, and a hypnotist (freaky what he got the participants to do....huge football players showing their best ballet moves, shy girls sniffing their neighbors, just to name a few!)

Will miss you Class of 2011! Mrs. Boyd loves you!

Have a great weekend!
